I didn't spend enough time researching bike pumps; this thing might have a small area of use, but even at that there are better options. I'm medium strong guy and it took a WHOLE LOT of effort to get tires to 55 psi lbs and I was exhausted. There are much better portable pumps available, some can get to 100 psi much easier. This one may be light, and that's where it's use may lie- a light emergency pump, but even at that they make 2-stage ones that might be better. In an emergency this thing will get you up and running, just not at very much psi.
Solid construction and smooth operation make it much less frustrating to fix a flat on the trail. Worth every penny and then some. Don't hesitate to pick one up and go out riding!
