Customer Reviews
This is a decent bike with decent components. If you want a top of the line bike this isn't it...If you want a solid bike for under $300 this is it. I am really happy with the purchase. I was a little skeptical when I started doing some research on the bike and couldn't find much in the way of details. Decided to purchase it anyway and crossed my fingers...I think it all worked out great.
The one negative comment I have is with the rim tape. It is way too flimsy...your tubes will push through the holes in the rims and eventually pop. It took me 3 tube replacements until I put the pieces together...I am a slow learner. Replaced the original rim tape with Velox Rim Tape $3.50 a rim and it solved the problem. No more flats.
This is my first road bike. Once it was all put together, it was a very smooth ride. My only suggestion is to have someone who knows a lot about bikes put it together for you. Together we found that a lot of the parts were incorrectly put together ie too tight or too loose but as expected with a factory bike. Eventually had to take it to a bike shop to have the cones loosened. Like everyone else's review, the brakes aren't top notch, but they serve their purpose.
Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase.
