About MongooseFounded in 1974 in a Southern California garage, Mongoose has always been an innovator. From the company's initial cast-magnesium MotoMag wheels to its current crop of BMX, mountain, and pavement bikes, the Mongoose name has been synonymous with bicycle performance. Mongoose builds specifically for riders, which is why the company's BMX designers aren't wasting time watching reruns on ESPN2. Instead, they're constantly testing their new designs at the park, on the track, and on the hill. This continuous experimentation is what drives Mongoose to cook up things like the Front Porch head tube, which lets you fine-tune the handling on Black Diamond series mountain bikes, or Freedrive suspension technology, which eliminates pedal bob and provides a super-efficient full suspension. Mongoose bikes don't just push the limits; they set new ones.
The Mongoose DH Team comes with a 4 bar vertical spring alloy dual suspension frame, and Rock Shox suspension fork. This bike is equipped with an 31.8 mmm rise handlebars with an ahead stem for the perfect riding position. The 24-Speed SRAM X-4 rear derailleur and X-4 trigger shifters provide smothe easy shifting. This bike is equipped with Promax front ; rear disc brakes, black alloy DH rims with Kenda tires

Customer Reviews
Great Bike For Price! I had it assembled for $100 at 2 Wheeler Dealer a local bike shop I bought a Cannondale from 10 years ago that I paid $1000 for. The first time I took it trail riding on a beginner trail, within 15 minutes the left crank loosened from me pedaling and my crank was about to fall off! I took it the way it was to the bike shop and asked why they were loose as I just paid them to put the bike together. They proceeded to tell me I had a "Cheap Dept. Store Bike" and that's why it happened. I explained that I got it on Amazon and that you can't buy this model in any department stores. I'm not sure if they were jealous because I didn't buy my bike there or mad because I got a good deal. They replaced my crank with a different brand without telling me or showing me the old one and sent me packing thinking they had just repaired the original. When I got home I noticed the crank was black but curved different and I was very dissatisfied with 2 Wheeler Dealer in Wilmington, NC. I don't know why they would come from the factory loose or why they didn't check it at the bike shop when I paid them but all they did was place the blame on Mongoose and badmouth the brand. I had to replace the crank myself with a Shimano brand crank and now I think the bike is good to go. Next time I will probably just assemble the bike myself since I had to double check behind the people I paid to assemble this one! They don't even sell Cannondale anymore when
I asked because they said "they are cheap dept. store bikes now too."
