Customer Reviews

These tires came with my 2007 Raleigh Passage 3.0 hybrid bike that I bought new in June, 2007. Weinmann 520 rims.
I've never had a problem with these tires, and I practically live on my bike. Constant use. No flats, always reliable, and they give a smooth ride, even at the max rating of 85 psi (of course my bike has suspension), so the Kevlar K-Shield puncture resistant feature must be doing its thing.
With their big, meaty tread, they give surprisingly good traction in snow ; ice.
Here it is December 22, 2010, 34° F outside, and I just got back from a grocery run on my bike over some snowy, icy sidewalks, and thanks to these tires, my bike felt as sure-footed as the proverbial mountain goat. For winter cycling I deflate the Kendas to around 30 psi, but I don't glue the beads to the rims.
I believe that Kenda discontinued these tires - couldn't find them anywhere on their website, unfortunately.
If I can find them anywhere, I'll definitely get a pair. It's probably about time - 3.5 years is long enough, even if the treads ; sidewalls show no signs of damage or wear.

I have ridden these tires for a year plus through NYC, never had a flat. Definitely worth their extra weight for the K-shield. keep your tires pumped to the recommended PSI and you will be happy you have these tires.
